OK now I get it......did you read the post on my blog titled, "this is a really stinky post?" You just cleared up for me the reason why farmers put that gross, liquid manure on their fields, and why I should endure the wretched smell.
And now when I smell that horrid smell, I will be reminded of why I should endure those stinky, wretched times with my own kids......hopefully one day my kids will flourish and honor God with their lives. :)
Gerat post, you have such a way with words!

Great comparisons! You are right on. I now go to your column every morning as part of my "quiet time" and find inspiration to get me through the day.

Wonderful imagery, Kathy! I love the image of children being "healthy and lush." Bring it on, manure! I'll spread you round.

Love how you compare the kids and the garden... it's really very true!

Oh, and I am so with you on the laundry pile-up. It's gotten to the point where my hubby has offered to fold my laundry for me (we each do our own usually).

You know it's bad when the MAN wants to do something about the eyesoar that is laundry!
