I try very hard to sit in my backyard when I know my neighbors will be out so I can talk to them. (we have very small yards so it's impossible not to) It has worked well in getting to know them and their families and what a great thing! We are about to move to a community with acre lots, I hope I will be able to reach out in new ways now! Thanks for the inspirational post! There is something so right about neighborhood events. After sitting inside all winter it was nice to see all those who came out of their holes. Maybe we shouldn't wait for the weather to turn. Come to think of it, there is a really good sledding hill in our neighborhood...maybe next winter. What a coincidence…we had our block party this weekend.
