Best thing about the big scoop is that I don't have to buy soap as often. That means --maybe--fewer trips to the store. Always a good thing.

Great post, Kathy. It'll prob. take us supersizers a few loads to believe that you can actually use less of the stuff. Even with the stuff that, for now, is considered concentrated, I think I use more than is required. I agree though, the hauling of detergent is one aspect of grocery shopping I detest. I try to take joy in the process, to tap my inner housewife, but I avoide buying those big things as much as I possibly can!

Interesting finds! I always Google random people from my childhood. I've found some pretty interesting things, too! :)

My laundry detergent is usually whatever is on sale when I run out of detergent and have to run to the market to grab some more!

Oh, yes, I couldn't agree more. I bought a compact size of detergent that was supposed be for 42 loads...it lasted 6. I will stick to my big box.

I bought my first "compact" laundry detergent last week -and you're right, it is hard to believe that little cap of liquid is doing the same as the usual capfuls....but so far looks like it is. I guess I will get used to it, my weak wrists already are enjoying the benefits of lifting a lighter bottle. :) I really am enjoying your blog. :)
