How lovely! You've really stepped on my toes with this one. I've been so busy lately that I really haven't stopped to care for people. Thank you for this wonderful reminder.

In an email I received yesterday, a friend wrote:
Love people with the gifts that God gave you.

These words keep washing over me and ringing true at every level.

Great post, Kathy! :o) mg

I hate to sound pedestrian after your uplifting post, but use an indelible marker to put one "x" on the toes of the older son's socks, 2 "x's" on the toes of the younger son's socks. If the bigger socks get handed down, you just add an x. This idea originated (at least for me) with Amy Dacyzyn (sp?) of The Tightwad Gazette.

And, yes, the essence of life is caring for one another. It gives meaning to everything else.

This was a beautifully written post. I know that every time you postpone that cup of coffee or bypass a trip to the library in order to care for someone, you are
living God's word. And really, that's what all of us are called to do . . . care for each other. God Bless, Bia

Your daughter is more than worth the effort you make to do well by her...but you knew that. You're a great mom.
